Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep

Scott, Susie and I are volunteers for a non-profit organization called Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep.  This is the organization's mission statement.  "To introduce remembrance photography to parents suffering the loss of a baby with the free gift of professional portraiture.  We believe these images serve as an important step in the family's healing process by honoring their child's legacy."

We became volunteers this summer and currently we serve families at St. Joseph's Hospital in Buckhannon.  While this is the hardest thing we will ever do as photographers, we are pleased to be affiliated with this organization.  Our hope is that our photography will provide comfort to those grieving the loss of their baby.

Tuesday morn

Busy morning here!  We've already done a senior this morning from Buckhannon.  Fall leaves are almost at peak, so if  you are a senior and want fall images, call us NOW!! This is the busiest time of year for the studio, so appointments are at a premium~especially if you have to come after school or on Saturday. Do not delay, the beautiful fall foliage will be gone before we know it.

Susie and I spent the weekend attending the fall meeting of the Professional Photographers of WV.  We attended some great classes, learning new things from other talented pros.  We had a great time, and had some time to shop for some new props.  Always our favorite activity!

Just a reminder, the fall family special is going on now.  Originally scheduled to end October 18, we've extended the special thru October 30.  Call the studio and ask Betsy for details.

One more thing before I get back to retouching images.  Our framer Lanora Wentz  had the opportunity to travel to Huntington on Saturday to visit our framing supplier.  She picked up some new products to make her job easier.  We are also investigating some new software that will allow you to see what your finished framed artwork will look like before we start.  We are excited about this addition. I'll let you know when it is up and running!
